"Everything comes from somewhere," says Rimantas Šavelis, one of the finest Lithuanian novelists and playwrights, joking that "with the passage of time, the inspiration to create may no longer appear". And the writer wanted to give up the authorship of the legendary butter smoother "Tado Blinda". "I wrote the screenplay first and then the novel. This is probably the first time in Lithuania," says Šavelis. Some works are unforgettable, but there are others that have been read and are still read by generations. The writer calls his book "Eternal Light", written in 1987, a work of which he is not ashamed.
The Klaipėda Castle Theatre's performance is based on Rimantas Šavelis' extraordinarily beautiful short story "Fabijonas", full of strange feelings, love, dreams, paradoxes and deep metaphors, in which the main and only role - the character of the Witness of the Era - is played by the actor Aurimas Pintulis.
The story of Fabijonas is both simple and extraordinary. A man lives in the Lithuanian countryside in the Soviet post-war period, is fascinated by a dung truck, and is enchanted by a dream - to see the Taj Mahal...
A.Pintulis, who graduated from Klaipėda University (now Klaipėda faculty of Lomonosov Academy of Performing Arts) with an actor's degree in drama and theatre, was invited to Šiauliai Drama Theatre, where he created more than thirty roles in the course of ten years. Later he played in Klaipėda Drama Theatre, and starred in the TV series "Naisių vasara". In Klaipėda Castle Theatre he performs in the plays "The Story of Mr. Zomer", "Easy Acquaintance", "Sebastijanas", "David and Eduardas", "You are stopping the ocean for me"
