The international Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis pianists and organists competition is a significant and meaningful event in the development processes of Lithuanian musical culture. Each time, the competition becomes a vibrant international gathering of pianists and organists of the young generation, and future masters are born in front of the audience. The six most talented pianists will appear in the final of the competition, who will perform selected concertos for piano and orchestra by F. Chopin, R. Schumann, F. Liszt, L. van Beethoven, and M. Ravel with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Modestos Barkauskas.
