The actor started acting in film in the 1960s and has played over 100 roles. A long-time diplomat, Juozas Budraitis was no stranger to the camera, and the images he captured have artistic and historical value. His entire oeuvre as an artist can be described as a living documentary. During the opening of the exhibition at the Laiptai Gallery, fans of professional art will have the opportunity to see the photographs in which Juozas Budraitis captured his fellow film actors and scenes from film sets. Film critics describe the artist as a reticent actor who observes everything closely and lives deep within himself. This is also how he is when looking for shots with his camera. The actor says that when he takes pictures, he captures a state of mind, not a fact. His photographs are blurred, as if on the verge of a blur: a sliding view through a car window, the body of a famous actor, a lonely scattered chair or accessories that someone has forgotten after the filming. "Laiptų galerija" (Žemaitės str. 83, Šiauliai) will be open until 22 February.
