I found her, Virginia Woolf, or rather her novel "Mrs. Delovej" must be driven by hunger to create. That happened a long time ago, almost a decade ago, and the idea of creating a play about Virginia Woolf has never left me. Such is my strange fate in the Theater (I keep trying to question whether I'm really sitting in my sled) - in order to survive, I had to provide work for myself. The roles offered in the theater are few and far between, and I am too curious and impatient to wait for that something I dreamed about. I look around and see crowds of colleagues who look like me, who only get a few more serious roles in their careers.
But our affair with Virginia Woolf took time. So many attempts have been made to overcome this material, and people have tried to be infected with this idea... So many blows have been received from Fate... One can only wonder at one's own determination - don't "thoughts materialize"?
The author is important to me because she showed me her treasures and even gave me the key to open and use them. I think it is difficult to read the works of this writer without knowledge about herself - "the secrets of my soul, experiences written in my works". This happened to me with her "Diaries", encountered during a tour in St. Petersburg. Then the journey towards her began.
Virginia Woolf is important only because she is in the world's top 100 writers. And if her crystal-sounding, felt, vibrating "stream of consciousness" resonates with the reader's consciousness - it can happen like it did to me. It will just be hard to break free
