After many years, after the whole life of our country and people changed, A. Bražinskas and A. Drilinga's musical, now called "Shnekučiai", is reborn once again, this time in a new space - Panevėžys musical theater.
The performers of the main roles of "Shnekučiai" are well-known, popular Lithuanian singers who inspire the admiration of the audience: Liudas Mikalauskas, Deivydas Norvilas (Deivis), Ramūnas Urbietis, the author of the rich choreography - Alfredas Kondratavičius, scenography - Daivas Petrulytės, conductor - Justinas Mačys.
Bright folk characters of the beginning of the 20th century, the breathless ethnographic spirit of the village, the high-flying look of an ordinary villager - to make a bird of dreams, as well as love for the homeland Lithuania - Lithuanian books that were banned at the time are brought here - all this is reflected in the musical and should be interesting, even relevant for today's man.
The plot of "Chatter" is symbolic. Meister Deveika is trying to realize his dream - to build a flying bird, but due to the darkness of the village - illiteracy, robberies, depressing hard life, even misunderstanding of close people, as well as coercion of the tsarist gendarmes oppressing people, it cannot be done, that bird - plane was destroyed by people. However, the hope for a brighter future is not extinguished. The musical ends with a song about the flight of a bird and happiness.
The director of the play, Nerijus Petrokas, looked at the time of action of "Shnekučiai" from the perspective of a modern person, finding some comparisons with the current reality of Lithuania, when the Lithuanian word and writing carried by booksellers are no longer valuable for a lifetime, because foreign words often become a substitute for the living Lithuanian word...
The performance is full of funny jokes, effective movement plasticity, abundant mass scenes, we will see a simple but at the same time modern scenography. The director's bold thought: maybe the plane built by Master Deveika was the firstborn of our cool Lithuanians' flight across the Atlantic.
