The artist has been working in cinema for three decades, her creative biography includes experience in several dozen films of various genres by foreign and Lithuanian directors. Among the works created by D. Petrulytė are the costumes for the most famous Lithuanian films "Children from the "Amerika" Hotel" (dir. R. Banionis), "Three Days" (dir. Š. Bartas), "Earth Passengers" (dir. G. Lukšas) , "Tad Blinda". Pradžia" (dir. D. Ulvydas), "Excursant" (dir. A. Juzėnas) and many others. Since 1993 D. Petrulytė also works in joint film and television projects with foreign countries. in 2004 the artist was nominated for the Polish film award "Zloty orly" for the best costumes in W. Grodecki's film "Insatiability". in 2015 she was nominated for the British Television Award "Royal Television Society Craft and Design Awards" for the costumes in "The Eichmann Show", directed by P. A. Williams.
