The Kaunas State Philharmonic invites you to welcome the New Year and feel a real festive mood with the most wonderful melodies. Two of Kaunas' most prominent professional music groups, conducted by Robert Šerveniks, and the voices of exceptional guests - singers Kseniya Bakhritdinova and Marcelis Beekmans - will invite the listeners to merrily step towards the threshold of the New Year.
The talented and promising soloist of the Ukrainian National Opera and Ballet Theater KSENIYA BAKHRITDINOVA successfully creates roles in Ukrainian, European and Asian opera theaters, performs in concert halls in Austria, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Norway, Finland and Lithuania. She studied solo singing and piano at the Mykola Lysenko National Academy of Music in Lviv. Among her achievements are 2nd place in the Minsk international Christmas singing competition, 1st place in the international singing competition "Nightingale fair" and others. She has performed such roles as Amelia in Giuseppe Verdi's opera "Masquerade Ball", Mikaela in Georges Bizet's opera "Carmen", Donna Ana in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera "Don Juan" and others.
Amsterdam-based singer MARCELIS BEEKMAN is well known in the music world as a versatile singer. His list of works boasts not only a large number of ready-made opera roles, but also concerts of old and contemporary music. The soloist is invited to perform parts in German, French and Italian baroque opera productions on various stages of theaters and festivals in Europe, the USA, Africa and Asia. In addition to his passion for baroque music, this performer is famous as an original interpreter of modern compositions and avant-garde.
