Two troupes work in the castle theater: a professional performing arts troupe and a street event troupe. Professional actors stage performances for the stage. A large group of musicians, dancers, and students of the KU Academy of Arts take part in street plays and events. During the 30 years of its creation, the theater staged over sixty performances and organized hundreds of events in the republic and beyond.

Klaipėda Castle Theater is a prominent cultural landmark of Klaipėda. The team of professionals of the Castle Theater is constantly working on preparing new productions, the troupe of street events creates plays, actions, improvisations, theatrical parades for the street theater.
