From 1992 to 1995, the theater was managed by Antanas Šurna, 1995 - 1997 by Jonas Vaitiekaitis.From 1997 to 2016 the theater was managed by Algirdas Latenas; it is currently managed by Audronis Liuga. The current core of the troupe consists of actors trained by Dalia Tamulevičiūtė and Algirdas Latenas.In 2006, director Jonas Vaitkus returned to the big stage of the Youth Theater after an almost ten-year hiatus. With the performance "Pagalvinis", created based on the play of the contemporary English playwright Martin Macdonagh, the director rediscovered the youth theater as a place where one can boldly express one's position and criticize society. The subsequent performances "Ivona, Duchess of Burgundy" (2007) by Witold Gombrowicz and "Patriotai" (2008) by Petros Vaičiūnas were awarded the "Golden Cross of the Stage" award by theater critics not only for directing, but also for excellent acting work.
