Set designer Branko Hojnik was born on November 10, 1975 in Slovenj Gradac. After finishing high school, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. Already during his studies, he collaborated with director Jernej Lorenci in his student productions. Their collaboration continues and develops further, as Hojnik still signs the scenography in almost all of Lorenci's productions.
In the early years of his theater career, he collaborated several times with Matejo Koležnik, he is also a frequent collaborator of director Ivanje Djilas and director Eduard Miller. His stage designs could be seen in almost all Slavic theaters.
It is likely that his education and aesthetic orientation directly influenced the fact that his scenography is characterized by an excellent use of artistic means, and he shapes the stage space according to the cause and effect of the presence and absence of the dramatic characters, the environment and the time in which they act.
