1988-1992 studied at the Vilnius Higher School of Electronics and obtained the specialty of computer technician. 1992-1996 studied at Vilnius University and obtained a bachelor's degree in Lithuanian philology, and in 1998 – Master's degree in literary theory. 1998-1999 received a scholarship from the Open Society Institute in Budapest (OSI/FCO Chevening Scholarship) and studied at Oxford University, Christ Church College (Great Britain). Fields of research - philosophy of language, sociology, interpretations and power relations.
Since 1992 translated poetry and short prose, essays, published original work and critical articles in the cultural press.
Since 2004 cooperates in the development of publishing projects of the publishing house "Kitos köngis". 2009-2016 worked at "Balti lankė" publishing house. Since 2016 Editor-in-Chief of the Lithuanian Writers' Union Publishing House.
in 2001 interned at the University of East Anglia, at the Center for British Literary Translations. in 2002 received the Frankfurt Book Fair Internship for Publishing Professionals, 2008 from April to May, he stayed at Ledig House (USA) writers and translators residence.
