In 1969-1973 he studied at the Lithuanian State Conservatory (Department of Acting Mastery). The director of the course is director Henrikas Vancevičius. Special pedagogue - Algė Savickaitė.He has been working at the Lithuanian National Drama Theater since 1973.In 2000-2005, he was the general director of the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre.
