Ligita Kondrotaitė was born on 16 November 1960 in Rokiškis.
In 1984 she graduated from the Department of Acting at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre under the direction of Prof. A. Savickaitė. In 1984 she started working as an actress at the Juozas Miltinis Drama Theatre and has been working there ever since. She has created over 80 roles in the theatre. She has worked in Kaunas Little Theatre. Acts in cinema and television, organises poetry evenings.
In 2003, at the festival of professional theatres "Vaidiname zemdirbiams" (We Play for Farmers), she received the award for the best female role of the year for the role of Blanša in the play "The Tramway of Lusts" by T. Williams, directed by. R. Vikšraitis. In 2003 she was nominated by the Ministry of Culture for the role of a woman in T. Stopard's play "The Real Thing", dir. R. Atkočiūnas.
