Laimutis Sėdžius was born on 6 May 1962. On May 7, 1962 in Karklėnai, Kelme district.
In 1984 he graduated from the acting department of the Lithuanian State Conservatoire (now the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre). In 1984 he started working as an actor at the Juozas Miltinis Drama Theatre.
