Rimantas Teresas was born on 16 August 1955. Robert Teres was born on 16th August 2007 in Kuršėnai, Lithuania.
In 1981 he graduated from the Lithuanian State Conservatoire (now the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre) with a degree in acting from Irena Vaišytė, where he taught from 1983 to 1987, and from 2008 to 2009 he was a lecturer at Šiauliai University. Since 1981 he has been acting at the Juozas Miltinis Drama Theatre, and from 1996-2010 he was the director of this theatre. He has been a trainee at the Higher School of Arts in Bratislava (1989) and at the A. Lunačiarsky Institute of Theatre Art in Moscow.
