From 1959 to 1970 she studied at the 1st secondary school in Alytus. In 1970 she entered the drama department of the Vilnius School of Culture (now Vilnius Conservatoire) (course in folk directing and club workers). A year later, she auditioned for the puppet theatre company announced by V. Mazūras and was accepted as an actress at the Vilnius Theatre "Lėlė". Due to her active creative activity, Janina switched to part-time studies at the Vilnius School of Culture, which she completed in 1977 (course leaders - Alvyda Čepaitytė, Aleksandras Kernagis).
The actress has acted in Television productions. Since 2003, the actress has been working as a ticket controller and pedagogue at the theatre "Lėlė".
