LAURA GROZA graduated the Latvian Academy of Culture’s Department of Stage Directing in 2008. Since 2008, she has worked to produce plays and concerts at the Dailes Theatre and the Liepāja Theatre. Groza has been nominated numerous times for the Spēlmaņu nakts Award, and received the 2015 Spēlmaņu nakts Award for Best Director for her work on the Dailes Theatre production of Equus, and for the Liepāja Theatre production of 1984. Equus was also named the 2015 Spēlmaņu nakts Award Best Production, while 1984 was voted the reader favorite for the 2014 Diena Annual Awards for Culture. Groza-Ķibere also directed Piaf (Liepāja Theatre) and Frankenstein (Dailes Theatre), both of which won the annual Latvian Television and Latvian Radio Kilograms kultūras Award (2013, 2015).
