I graduated from Pavandenė vid. school in 1967 (Telšiai district). I went to Vilnius, entered the State Conservatory (Academy of Music and Theater) to study acting. The course leaders were a.a. Irena Vaišytė and a.a. Vladas Jurkūnas. I graduated in 1972. and I started working for the Kaunas State Puppet Theater.
As far as I can remember, my first role in this theater was Sunflower in the play "Sunflower and Rooster" (directed by Stasys Ratkevičius). I spoke in a soft voice and kept looking for my partner's eyes... It was not easy to understand the technique of the doll, but gradually I got the hang of it. I calculated that I played in more than 60 plays.
