Born on 10 April 1934 in Pilsudai, Tauragė district.
Died on 05 08 2020 in Kaunas. Buried in Petrašiūnai Cemetery.
Arrested and imprisoned for anti-Soviet poems in the last year of grammar school, spent 1951-1956 in camps in the Mordovia and Omsk regions. After returning to Lithuania, he studied at Kaunas Polytechnic Institute (now Kaunas University of Technology), qualifying as a civil engineer in 1964. In 1972-1975 and 1977-1982 he was the head of the department, stylist and editor of the magazine "Nemunas". 1982-1986 Consultant to the Kaunas branch of the Lithuanian Writers' Union. Since 1989 - editor of the magazine "Santara" and the library of books published by this magazine. 1989-1993 - editor and publisher of the satirical newspaper "Ūpas". Since 1994 - proofreader of "Kauno Dienas". Started publishing poems in 1958.
