Lithuanian pedagogue, writer, creator of children's literature, laureate of many prizes. 1942 graduated from Marijampolė teachers' seminary. He taught in Santaika, Simna, Seiriyai, 1950-1972. in Alytus. He taught Lithuanian language and literature in city schools, worked in pioneer houses, led groups of writers and tourists. 1971 In the forest of the Varėna district, in Pauosupė, he built a cabin called Dreve and spent his summers there. In 1972. gave up his job as a teacher and devoted all his energy to creativity. Buried in Alytus.
