Born 1943.02.04.04 in Patery, Lazdijai district. Died 12.12.2008 in Vilnius.
Graduated from Vilnius University in 1966 with a degree in Lithuanian language and literature, worked in the editorial office of "Mūsų gamtos" (Our Nature) in 1967-1976; after being dismissed, he worked as a writer of children's plays, scripts and articles. 1988-1990 Responsible Secretary of the LRS, since 1992 Editor of the Literary Section of "Severo Atėnai".
