Soviet and Russian writer, film director, screenwriter, producer, translator, journalist, public figure. In 1992 he graduated from the screenwriting department of VGIK (course of Alexander Alexandrov). His story Bury Me Behind the Baseboard has been translated into German, Finnish, Italian, French and Estonian.In the mid-1990s, he gained fame as a translator and author of simultaneous text for films for the West Video company by Tigran and Vartan Dokhalov; according to him, “earned money by illegal translation”. Subsequently, he did texts for dubbed versions of films.In the 2000s he worked as a film director.
