Born on 22 October 1954 in Kaunas.
In 1973 graduated from Kaunas Jonas Jablonskis Secondary School. In 1974-1977 served in the Navy. In 1983 graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Vilnius University. Worked as an economist, administrator of the magazine "Nemunas" of the Lithuanian Writers' Union. In 1988-1989 he was the chairman of Kaunas Young Writers' Section. Since 2002 he has participated in almost all major bard festivals and events in Lithuania and abroad (Poland, Germany, Ireland). He is a multiple participant and organiser of the "Akacijų alėja" festival of sung poetry (2002-2007) and has been awarded with the name badge of honour of this alley. Since 2007, he has been the organiser of the annual "Bardic March through Lithuania" and the author of the bardic anthem "Ateina žmonės". Author and performer of lyrics and music. Lives in Kaunas.
