Born on 13 06 1953 in Prienai.
From 1971-1975 he studied at Kaunas Institute of Physical Education (now Lithuanian University of Sports).From 1975-1976 he worked at Kaunas Children's Sports School as a gymnastics coach, then for a short time as an instructor at the Tourist Club and as a paramedic in the ambulance. In 1977-1980 he worked at the Literature Museum as a senior research fellow, and in 1981-1989 as a chemical laboratory technician in the boiler room of the Kaunas Research Institute of Radio Measurement Techniques. In 1989, he started working as a section editor of "Nemunas" magazine, and after the magazine became a weekly until 2012, he worked as its deputy editor-in-chief. He is currently a professional writer. Kajoko's work has been awarded many Lithuanian literary prizes, translated into nearly two dozen languages, included in school and university curricula, quoted in scientific articles, and he is working on a master's thesis on poetry, essays and novels. The writer has participated in creative readings in Poland, Ukraine, Ireland, England, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Georgia, Luxembourg, the USA. He has translated poetry, prose and philosophical texts from a number of countries, and some translations have been published as separate books. He has compiled and edited over twenty books by other authors.
