After graduating from the university, he worked as a teacher of Russian language and literature at school, in 1981-1982 as a loader, from 1982 to 1989 as a correspondent for television and radio in the city of Saratov. From 1990 to 1995 he was the editor and head of the fiction department of the Volga magazine.In 2001 he moved to Moscow, collaborated with television and cinema (scenarios for the series "Stop on Demand", "The Fifth Corner", "Plot", etc., the film "Irony of Fate.
