Aušra Kaziliūnaitė is distinguished by her unique poetic style, which combines visuality, precision of form and a philosophical relationship with the world that questions the essence of things and phenomena.
Aušra is the author of five books of poems (First Lithuanian Book (2007), 20% Concentration Camp (2009), The Moon is a Tablet (2014), I Am a Crumbled Wall (2016), and There is No Sea (2021)). His work has been awarded prestigious prizes: the Jurga Ivanauskaitė Prize, the Young Creator Prize (awarded by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania), and the Elena Mezginaitė Prize; his poems have been translated into eighteen foreign languages.
2018 m. The Moon Is A Pill (translated by Rimas Užgiris), a collection of the poet's poems, was published in English by Parthian Books in the United Kingdom. Kaziliūnaitė has been invited to read her work at international poetry festivals, and has participated in artist residency programmes in Europe and the USA. 2018 m. In 2018, the University of Iowa awarded her Honorary Fellow in Writing.
