Born on 29 November 1935 in Musteikiai, Utena district.
In 1950 he graduated from Tauragnai Pro-Gymnasium and in 1954 from Švenčionys Pedagogical School. In 1961 graduated from Vilnius University. 1954-1956 worked as a teacher in Skaudvilė. From 1962-1964 she worked as a proofreader at the "Minties" publishing house, in the editorial office of the Small Lithuanian Soviet Encyclopedia. 1964-1966 Senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Philosophy, Vilnius University. 1966-1971, editor of the theatre section of Kultura Bars, 1973-1974 and 1975-1977, member of the repertoire and editorial board of the Board of Art Affairs of the Ministry of Culture of the Lithuanian SSR. She has translated plays from Russian, Polish and French.
