Born on 24 February 1964 in Šeimyniškiiai, Utena district.
Died on 16 02 2020 in Kaunas. Buried in Petrašiūnai Cemetery.
In 1982 graduated from Kaunas J. Aleksonis Secondary School. 1987-1988 Chairman of the Kaunas Young Writers Section of the Lithuanian Writers' Union. In 1994-1996 he wrote weekly columns on culture and new books for the newspapers "Kauno diena" and "Noriu" (I Want); in 1998-1999 he presented new books on Lithuanian television. 1996-2005: initiator, founder and co-owner of the bookstore-club "Septynios vienatvės", 1996-1999: manager of the bookstore. In 2002-2004 he hosted the programme "House of Culture" on Lithuanian television. Currently, he is a contributor to the daily newspaper "Kauno diena". He has translated a lot of German and other national poetry, several plays and libretti. Navakas' own work has been translated into Russian, Latvian, Georgian, Finnish, Swedish, Macedonian, German, English, Italian, Estonian, Czech, Japanese, Chinese, Turkish, Bulgarian, Polish, and appeared in the collections Plav. Z Litvy na Madagaskar (Czech, 2008), Six Lithuanian Poets (English, 2008), Litauen diktar: mote i gryningen (Swedish, 2005), etc.
