Born on 27 September 1950 in Ingavangis village, Prienai district.
In 1978 she graduated from Vilnius University with a degree in Lithuanian Studies. In 1994 she made her debut in the anthology of women's poetry of the Prienai region "Gimtinės upeliai". She worked at the Liteks factory, S. Žukas Applied Arts Technical School, the LSSR Literature Museum (now the Maironis Lithuanian Literature Museum), and from 1989 to 2019 she was its director. Since 1993 A. Ruseckaitė has been the Dean of the Faculty of Literature at the University of the Third Century, a member of the International Council of Museums, the President of the Association of Museums of Lithuania, a member of the Board of Directors of the Lithuanian Museums Association (1995-2008; 2010-2019), a long-term member of the Expert Commission of Museums of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, a member of the Council of Museums, a member of the Council of Kaunas Culture and Arts and the Dean of the Creative Expression Department at the University of the Third Century. Since 2019 - Honorary Member of the Lithuanian Museum Association.
