Inoue's path to the world of literature and theater began with short scripts for vaudeville shows, satires, comedies and scripts for puppet TV series and children's TV shows. Inoue's work has been recognized by many Japanese literary and theater awards, and the creator has written lyrics for anime, television shows and popular music artists. in 1983 Inoue founded the theater troupe "Komatsuza", whose main activity is productions of H. Inoue's texts. The author does not avoid satire and black humor in his work, often his country's experience in World War II and the traumas of society that followed it. Inoue's plays also make a lot of reference to people on the margins of Japanese society in order to give them hope and show the good sides of society.
