I. Tropa was born in a Latvian family during his father's service in Murmansk. His father was a policeman, his mother was a teacher. After a short time, the family returned to Latvia. I. Tropa graduated from Degumnieki Primary School (2000) and Varakļani Secondary School, also studying part-time at Riga Commercial School (2004). In 2008, she graduated from the Latvian Academy of Culture with a bachelor's degree in theater direction. In 2012, he obtained a master's degree in theater direction.
