Born on 11 April 1948 in Raseiniai. Member of the Lithuanian Photographers' Union since 1986, granted the status of artist in 2005. Member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union. 1973 graduated from the Lithuanian Art Institute. 1973-78 worked at the Ministry of Culture, 1978-81 at the Lithuanian Photographic Art Society. Since 2008 he has been teaching painting at the Vilnius Academy of Arts.
