He attends the Art Institute of Lecce.
1958 He wins the scholarship for the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence by attending the painting school of Maestro Primo Conti and scenography of Prof. Bruno Mello.
1961 He wins the competition for the "Monumento ai Caduti" built in Corigliano d'Otranto.
1962 He enters the Teatro Comunale in Florence as assistant set designer of Prof. B. Mello.
1964 He is entrusted with a stage production for the first time.
1966 Collaborates with the set designer Coltellacci for the scenes of the "Ballo Excelsior".
1969 He is called to the Teatro San Carlo in Naples as Director of Scenography.
1970 He returns to the City of Florence as Set Designer and Responsible for scenographic creation. Office that he will keep until 1984.
1972 Maestro Corrado Gagli organizes and presents his first painting exhibition. Many of his works are exhibited in private collections and in the offices of public bodies.
1973 Illustrates the book "Firenze Boia" by Stefano Sieni (Ed. Bonechi).
1978 Illustrates the cover for “Il tumulto dei Ciompi” by E. Ravel (Ed. Bonechi).
1978 He finishes painting the large canvas, "The Life of a Man" now exhibited in the apse of the "Chiesa dell'Addolorata" in Corigliano d'Otranto.
1982 He wins the competition for the "Bronze Doors" for the Cathedral of Copertino (Lecce), made by Prof. G. Gianese in a foundry in Pistoia and inaugurated in 1985.
1984 He is appointed Director of Stage Preparations of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. A position that he will keep until 1998, the year in which he leaves the Teatro Comunale to undertake the profession.
In these years he collaborated with the greatest Set Designers and Directors of the International Musical Theater. He designs many opera and ballet sets for theatres: Paris Opera, La Monnaie in Brussels, Staats Opera in Vienna and Cologne, Metropolitan in New York, La Scala in Milan, San Carlo in Naples, Carlo Felice in Genoa, NHK in Tokyo, Kanakawua of Yokohama, and of course for the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
1998 With the Director Zhang Yimou, he has the honor of collaborating in the realization of the opera "Turandot". A global event in the Forbidden City in Beijing, granted for the first time by the Chinese authorities to an international musical event. 1998 Inaugurates with the scenes of the opera "Aida" the first and brand new opera house in China: "Shanghai Grand Theatre", obtaining a prestigious success.
He has constantly coupled his work as a set designer with those of a painter, illustrator, sculptor and playwright (he wrote 18 comedies in the Salento vernacular, 8 of which performed) winning a first prize for popular theater.
1998 it was inaugurated in the apse of the Church of the Salesians of Scandicci. (Florence) after three years of work, the large canvas "The Mission of Don Bosco".
1999 Inaugurates the renovated Zagreb Opera House with the scenes of the opera "Dubrawka".
2000 He designs a fountain and creates the sculpture to furnish a square in the city of Corigliano d'Otranto.
2000 He is in charge of the Direction of the Staging and of the creation of the scenes of: "Francesco, the musical", which inaugurated the brand new Lyric Theater of the City of Assisi.
