Kishio Hirao ✝

Kishio Hirao (1907–1953) was a Japanese composer and conductor. He was born in Tokyo and studied music at the Tokyo Music School, where his teachers included Akira Ifukube and Kunihiko Hashimoto. Hirao is best known for his work in film music, particularly for his scores for the Godzilla film series. He died at the age of 46.
