Swiss composer who was born in France and lived much of his life in Paris.His piece for orchestra Pacific 231, which imitates the sound of a locomotive (train), received the most attention.Oscar - Arthur Honeger (first name never used) was born in Le Havre, France. In Paris, he intensively studied harmony and cello. He also studied in Zurich for a short time. He then studied with such composers as Charlie Vidor and Vincent Indi. He studied until 1910, after which he wrote the ballet "Le dit jeux du fonde", which is regarded as his first thoughtful work. in 1926 he married Adre Vauraborgë, a pianist and good friend, a student from the Paris Conservatoire. They had a daughter named Paskalė, born in 1932. Honeger also had a son named Djin-Caud (1926-2003). He was born with the singer Klera Kroiza.Between the First and Second World Wars, Honegger's work reached its peak. He composed music with Abeli Grance in 1927 for the film Napoleon. He composed a wonderful ballet and three operas, among other works. One of the operas, Jeanee d`Arc au Buder (1935), was one of his last works.
