All of Karl Orff's mature works, starting with the first stage cantata "Carmina Burana" (1937), in which the composer's individual features emerged, are based on the simplest methods of musical development, predominant percussion timbres, ostinato rhythm, diatonic laconic themes, simple harmony. C. Monteverdi, J.S. The works of Bach, H. Schutz, C. Debussy, A. Schoenberg, and other composers, but mainly the music of Igor Stravinsky, especially his concept of rhythm. In the works of Karl Orf, one can see the synthesis of his pedagogic ideas - music, language and movement; which is characteristic of the early manifestations and forms of music. The composer's music is full of life and vitality, bright paganism, and the carnal beginning prevails in it. Texts created or selected by the author himself, written in Bavarian dialect, late Latin, old German or French are very important. After World War II, Orff's music became known to listeners in many countries, and the "Orff-schulwerk" was translated into dozens of world languages.
