Claudia Sessa was an Italian composer of the late Renaissance period. She was born in 1570, but little else is known of her life outside of her musical works. Claudia was part of the convent of Santa Maria degli Angeli in Milan, and her works were likely performed there. She published only one volume of music in 1613, which consisted of motets for voices and basso continuo. Her music is highly regarded for its expression, emotional power, and technical skill.
