Lithuanian jazz pianist, head of the LMTA jazz department, professor.
in 1988 graduated from Veronika Vitaitė's class at the Lithuanian Conservatory. Since 1989 Lecturer, professor at the Lithuanian Conservatory (currently the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre). He improved in jazz improvisation courses in 1991, 1992. in Denmark and in 1993 In Germany.
Since 1983 performs as a soloist. 1993-1995 led a jazz quintet (Neda Malūnavičiūtė, Liudas Mockūnas, Andrius Afinogenovas, Aleksandras Kazakevičius). 1994-1996 keyboardist of the long-lived quintet "Dziazo nublokšti" (N. Malūnavičiūtė, Vytautas Labutis, Leonidas Šinkarenka, Gediminas Laurinavicius). He performed with these ensembles and solo in Italy, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Romania, Sweden. Since 1989 Artistic Director of the International Student Piano Improvisation Competition.
Creates music for piano solo and jazz ensembles, arrangements and instrumental phonograms. Participated in the recording of the CDs "Insomnia" (1996), "Christmas Flowers" (1999), "Women of Kurt Vail" (2002), "Gypsy Songs and Romances" (2002), "Jazz" classics" (2002), "The best tango songs" (2003), "Tylos poota" (2004), "Jazzy Lithuania" (2004), "Free Spirits: Jazz From Lithuania" (2005 .). Over 150 of his recordings are in Lithuanian radio and television funds.
