He composed operas, operettas, ballets, works for symphony orchestra, including two symphonies (1950, 1953), 3 suites (1954, 1955, 1956), the symphonic poem "Partizans" (1954 .), Festival Overture (1956), Essay and Fugue (1956), 17 Concertos for Various Instruments (1952-1978), String Quartet (1982) and Suite for String Quartet "Three Self-Portraits" (1983 .), a poem for flute and chamber orchestra (1984), pieces for wind and light music orchestras, about 600 songs and romances, music for drama theater, circus performances, and motion pictures.
His songs were performed by Nijolė Tallat-Kelpšaitė, Aleksas Lemanas, Virgilijus Noreika, Nelly Paltinienė, Violeta Rakauskaitė, Ona Valiukevičiūtė and other pop singers.
