Much of Dylan's most famous work was created in the 1960s. Many of his songs, such as "Blowin' in the Wind" and "The Times They Are a-Changin'" became anthems of the civil rights movement and opposition to the Vietnam War. The lyrics of Dylan's early songs were influenced by politics, philosophy, social phenomena and literature, which did not conform to the norms of pop music at the time. Since 1988, he has toured continuously with a rotating band on what has been dubbed the "never-ending tour." Bob Dylan is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and his recordings have won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and many Grammy Awards. in 2004 It was ranked second on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the most popular bands and musicians of all time. Bob Dylan's maternal grandparents were Jews from Lithuania who came to the United States in 1902.
