in 1976 S. Bartulis graduated from J. Naujalis secondary art school in Kaunas. in 1982 graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, doc. R. Kulikauskas' class.
in 1992 improved at international Amadeus Quartet Master Courses in London.
Since 1985 Teacher of cello specialty and chamber ensemble at Kaunas 1st Music School.
Since 1988 Cellist and artistic director of the Kaunas String Quartet.
He organized solo recitals, performed solos with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, recorded 6 vinyl records, audio cassettes, 14 CDs, music for drama performances as part of various ensembles, prepared many Lithuanian composers (solos, duets, trios, quartets, quintets etc.) of prime ministers, a number of recordings are stored in the LRT television and radio funds.
He performed with the Kaunas Quartet in Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Great Britain, Finland, Norway, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Chile, Argentina, Denmark, Ukraine.
