In 2003, the scenographer was awarded the Golden Cross of the Stage for scenography for Oskar Korshunov's play "The Wonderful and Sorrowful Story of Romeo and Juliet". in 2004 the artist won the National Culture and Art Prize for "impressive scenography of modern performances that raises the authority of theater art". in 2006 J. Paulėkaitė's list of awards was supplemented by the Hedda Award won in Norway for scenography for the performance "Journey to Damascus".
