in 1990 He graduated from the scenography specialty at the Vilnius Academy of Arts.in 1987 was awarded the prize of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania for the scenography of the play "Duokiškis" by Saulius Šaltenis. in 1994 the artist received the Christopher's Prize for her work in the performance "Persona" directed by Jonas Vaitkaus. In 2003, the scenographer was awarded the Golden Cross of the Stage for scenography for Oskar Korshunov's play "The Wonderful and Sorrowful Story of Romeo and Juliet". in 2004 the artist won the National Culture and Art Prize for "impressive scenography of modern performances that raises the authority of theater art". in 2006 J. Paulėkaitė's list of awards was supplemented by the Hedda Award won in Norway for scenography for the performance "Journey to Damascus".
