Lithuanian folk singer, famous for her traditional folk songs and modern arrangements of folk songs, laureate of the Lithuanian National Culture and Art Prize, ethnologist.
In 1976 - Faculty of History and Philology of Vilnius University and defended his thesis on the songs of Adutiškis region. From 1974 to 1986, she worked as a singer of the Folk Music Theater troupe. Then, for a long time, she was the singer of the People's Household Museum, and from X. singer of the Kaunas Ethnoculture Center. Since 1991, he has been leading the Blezdinga song club. Since 2002, she has been working as a senior specialist in the Department of Customs and Rituals of the Lithuanian Folk Culture Center. She is currently working as the event manager of the Vilnius Teachers' Home.
He wrote down the folk songs, rites, and customs of the Dzuks (native region). He sang with the folklore ensemble Blezdinga, jazz saxophonist Petrus Vyšniauskas.
Filmed in the Lithuanian Film Studio's musical film Yesterday and Always (1984, directed by Gytis Lukšas). On television in 2007 together with actor Saulius Balandis participated in LNK's music show "Star Duets", and in 2008 appeared in the judging panel of this show.
