Studied and graduated from Kėdainiai 2nd secondary school. Later, he studied vocals at the Juoz Tallat-Kelpša Higher Music School in Vilnius.
He sang in the choir of the "Lietuvos" song and dance ensemble. Soloist of the vocal-instrumental ensemble "Estradinės melodiós" (conductor Juozas Tiškus).
Performed many songs that were famous at that time: "The wind told me", "And yes and no", "Mama", "Black steamer", "Laumės žeba", etc.
