in 1981 graduated from Šiauliai 14th secondary school (now Lieporių secondary school), then Šiauliai K. Didiulis Polytechnic. He entered the Vilnius Conservatory, then the Moscow M. Lomonosov University, but did not graduate. in 1993 studied marketing courses in Germany and the USA.
1986-1992 a member of the group "Rondo", created dozens of popular songs.
in 1988 together with the Latvian group "Livi" organized independence actions in Lithuania and Latvia - concerts "March to Kernavė" and "Action Staburags". With "Rondo" he released two LPs "Tau-1" and "Tau-2", recorded several concert programs and albums.
