in 1959 returned to Lithuania. Since 1960 lived in Staniūnai (Panevėžys district). in 1972 graduated from Panevėžys 7th secondary school. 1972-1973 studied at the Šiauliai Pedagogical Institute Faculty of Arts. 1975-1978 studied at Stepa Žukas Technical School of Applied Arts in Kaunas. 1978-1984 studied at the Painting Department of the LSSR Art Institute.
Since 1992 Lecturer at the Lithuanian Art Institute (since 1990 Vilnius Academy of Arts, VDA), since 1998 associate professor, since 2009 Head of the Department of Painting, since 2010. professor.
Since 1985 participates in exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad. 1986-1993 Member of the Union of Lithuanian Artists. in 1990 founded the artist group Angis. Lives and works in Vilnius.
