He was born in Raseiniai, but after the war, he and his family moved to Kaunas. Studied at the 7th secondary school in Kaunas (now Šanții secondary school). After serving in the Soviet Army, 1964-1968. sang with the ensemble of Romuald Grabštas in Kaunas "Metropolios" restaurant. Studied at the then Kaunas Trade Technical School. Graduate and laureate of the "Vilnius towers" competition, laureate of the Antanas Šabaniauskas prize. He sang in the ensembles "Sodžius", "Gentlemen", "Seklyčia", released a dozen solo albums
