He graduated from the Lithuanian Conservatory in 1956 (course leader Andrejus Poliakovas, specialty pedagogue J. Kavaliauskas). In 1956–62 he played in Kapsuko, 1963–65 in Klaipėda, 1965–96 in the Youth Theater. More important roles: Motiejus (K. Binkios Atžalynas 1956), La Iras ir Tēpas (J. Anouilh'aus Žana / Vyturys 1967, 1989), Agnost (G. Figueiredo's Aesop 1971), King Vilmantas (K. Inčiūros Swan Song 1975), Matulionis (S. Šaltenios Jasonas 1978), Duke of the Cemetery (V. Korostyliovo Pirosmani, Pirosmani... 1981), Vaišvila (Just. Marcinkevičius Daukantas 1985), Pernaravičius (S. Šaltenios Duokiškis 1987). He acted in cinema and television (Relatives 1993–97, 1998–2001, directed by S. Vosylius) films.
