In 1970 he graduated from the Yaroslavl Theater School. He worked in the Michurinsky, Voronezh, Sevastopol and Tomsk drama theaters. He collaborated with the Moscow theaters "Our Theater" and "Globe". At the Russian Drama Theater - since 1991. Winner of the national theater award "Spelmanu nakts" in the category "Best Actor of 1996" for the role of the Captain in the play "Dance of Death".Winner of the national theater award "Spelmanu nakts" in the category "Best Actor 2001" for the role of Scapin in the play "Scapin's Plots".In 2003, he was awarded the Order of Three Stars for services to the Fatherland.
