Jazz pianist and pedagogue Saulius Šiaučiulis is a mainstream connoisseur, one of the brightest traditional jazz pianists in Lithuania. Studied at the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts, 1974. graduated from classical piano at the Lithuanian Academy of Music (prof. M. Azizbekova's class). After finishing his studies, he returned to his native Klaipėda and got involved in its musical life. Since 1970 actively expresses himself as a jazz pianist. 1970-1985 led the Klaipėda Jazz Quartet, later the ensemble under his own name, from 1980. played with Klaipėda Conservatory dixieland and big band, 1985-1994. – duet with clarinetist Pran Naruš. He has played music with V. Čekasin, V. Pilibavičius, V. Labučius, J. Maksimovičius, T. Botyri, A. Jofe, A. Šilkloperis, J. Whigham and others. Recently, S. Šiaučiulis has been playing music with the Kaunas Big Band, collaborating with saxophonist P. Vyšniauskas and singer S. Januška. The pianist also performs with academic music performers - the "Aukuras" choir, the Lithuanian National Philharmonic String Quintet, the Kaunas String Quartet, the Kaunas Chamber Orchestra, etc. He performed with various collectives in Lithuania and Europe
